2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Special Edition 30 Years of Ninja
2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has been released early to help celebrate the birthday of the Green Team Ninja. However, do not get your hopes too high, the changes for 2015 is only skin-deep, and consists of the following:
A special 30th Anniversary Ninja ZX-10R model features Lime Green/Pearl Stardust White paint and 30th Anniversary badges on each side of the fairing
The standard Ninja ZX-10R model is now painted in Metallic Matte Carbon Gray/Flat Ebony
Under those special graphics is the same 998cc inline four-cylinder engine, with its 76mm x 55mm oversquare bore and stroke dimensions. Coming standard is also Kawasaki’s traction control system, the Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC), as well as an Öhlins electronic steering damper.
Suspension up front is handled by Showa’s Big Piston Fork (BPF) design, while a fully adjustable rear shock features a piggyback reservoir and low/high-speed compression damping. You have to admit, that’s a pretty good stock suspension setup from a Japanese OEM.
Anti-locking brakes are also available on the ABS model, and commands a $1,000 increase to the ZX-10R’s MSRP of $14,599. This option modulates the same 310mm petal-style front brake rotors (with Tokico radially mounted calipers), and 220mm rear rotor found on earlier models of this generation ZX-10R.
